DVD Ripper Iron Man 2 Crashing

I am trying to rip Iron Man 2 (standard, non-Blu Ray) to ipod movie file using 2-pass high quality encoding via version 8.0.4.0.

Every time I try, the program seems to cease responding and crashes.

Any thoughts on what I am doing wrong? My logs seem to be clean.

    Thanks!

Please use 1-pass. Quality as good as 2-pass.

I'm afraid I beg to differ. I have many more sync issues when I use 1-pass and the video coloration distorts in some scenes.

I'm actually having this problem now when I try to convert any movie to ipod format that was ripped using 2-pass.

          Hi Anny,

I've just upgraded to 8.0.6.1. I'll see if that works on 2-pass.

          Thanks!

I've just upgraded to 8.0.6.8 on a newly reformatted hard drive with a clean copy of Windows XP Professional (also up to date) and 2-pass is still crashing on any DVD I try, including some that have worked in the past on 2-pass.

Any thoughts as to why this is happening?

              Hi CallusDew,

Please try DVDFab 8.0.7.2 Beta at

Open Common Settings->General->A/V Codec, set all the video decoder options and video encoder options as Software, then convert again.

If you still get the same crash issue, please
send your log file ( C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\My Documents\DVDFab\Log ) to sunny@dvdfab.com, we will report it to our devs to check where the problem is. Thanks.

              Sincerely,
              --
