DVD Ripper Ripper Hangs while in Two pass Mode

Converting ISO File to AVI format the Ripper goes through the first pass then at 50.07% the frame rate drops to zero and the ripper does not start the second pass. This work on 8.04 and v7 but does not work in 8.0.5.0.

Have you tried 1 pass as 2 pass is problematic for some profiles

Out of interest, are there any DVDs/regions 2-pass DOES actually work for? I've tried several regions 1 & 2 DVDs with no luck.

It seems that after is hangs on the two pass I have to reboot and re-load 8.0.5.0 then the it will run in single pass.

In version 8.0.4.X I used it on all of my rips to AVI and it never hung and stop processing.

Hi guys - I was having the same problem with 2-pass hanging. I turned off all CUDA in the General-> A/V Codec options and it worked without a hitch after that.

Please note that this was only when creating AVI's with h264 encoding, and may be a different issue. I have not tried creating an AVI with 2-pass divx encoding.
