Many (most?) standalone players today have an upscale feature that will display 720x480 DVD as 1980x1080. What (if any) is the quality difference between these two methods? Has anyone compared? Also, some of the older DVD's display "widescreen" but in a 4:3 frame. Will this enlarge it to a true 1980 x 1080 or will it sill appear in an enlarged 4:3 frame (i.e. black bars on the left and right sides)? I can zoom in on my home theater projector (Panasonic PT-AE8000U) on those DVD's to eliminate the black bars but at a small cost of picture quality. Anyone have any experience with this issue using Enlarger AI?
