    Audio Sync Issues

I've been using DVD Ripper for a few months and continue to experience audio sync issues. I'm using 8.1.3.8 on either a Macbook Air or Macbook Pro and the iPad format. I've changed the formats to also use generic but continue to have the audio sync issues that become more noticeable as the movie continues.

Is there a fix for the audio drift on the mac platform?

Thread moved here where mac users may be of more help to you.
How to post the internal log

Me too! Audio leads on video by about 300 to 500mSecs at typical movie end.
        Unacceptable.

            Hi all:
Which profiles do you use? Or you can post your internal.log that it can help us to fix.
            The internal.log is in document\dvdfab\log\

            Thanks,

                  To CBR929,

I have read it and I am not violating any Copyright laws - I am trying to convert my DVD to an avi file.

The problem with audio sync is reported by 3 people in the thread alone. Are you going to look at the problem ?
More than 2 weeks has passed since the problem was reported the first time by mgc00 and no progress / useful answer has been given.

                        Audio Sync

This is an issue I have had 4 ever in avi conversions. Audio sync is something that a lot of people can't even see unless its really bad. Some are more sensitive to it than others, and for some reason some DVD's are worst than others. If you do a search on the forum you will see how old of an issue it is, and I would not hold my breath on a fix even when they say it's been improved.

I have found what works for me is m4v files with a straight pass thru on the audio. I have never seen audio sync issues when I did straight audio pass thru. The problem is if you need an avi file I am not sure that you can do a straight pass thru. I have been waiting for DVD fab to allow multi audio track pass thru for m4v files but that has also yet to happen. I think waiting for an avi that does not have a sync issue will be the same thing.

I know for sure that they have worked very hard in the past in trying to resolve it. I personally traded various clips back and forth with them a long time ago and the improvement was zero despite their best efforts. Yes there are a few avi out there with no sync issues and fab will create some of them but for some reasons when you found a problem movie with the audio flags not just right this is the result. This is the reason I got away from avi files in general.

                        Good Luck

I have tested every possible combination - the audio sync problem still exist.

                              Hi cnb88
I do not have a Mac so I have no way of testing.

                              Try this
Please do not convert from your drive
First save it to your HDD as DVD9 "Main Movie" using DVD Copy without compression.
Then open the hard drive folder and use the folder on your HDD to do your converting.
Doing it this way saves wear and tear on your optical drive and is also faster.

                              Hope this helps
