DVD Copy Not Enough Space To Hold Data ?

When I want to copy a DVD, I copy it to an ISO file. Later on, I use DVD Copy to try and burn it to disk. That way, I have the ISO file in case anything happens to the disk. Whenever I try to burn the disk from an ISO file, DVDFAB "detects writable media in drive" and then immediately says "Copy Process Complete".

Looks like you need to compress it a little Ozzie. It's a little too big for the single layer blank.

Single Layer, I was using a dual layer.
      Maybe I selected DVD5 instead of DVD9.
Will check it again. Where does it show
      it's a single layer disc?

Your burner is seeing a +R single layer blank?

Thats interesting. Just tried it again with the same results.
I made sure I selected DVD9 and it is a +R DL disc.

          Now what do I do?

I would try a different blank and failing that reboot the system.

              Thanks for your Help!

I was able to burn the iso file to the very same disc using the iMacs Disc Utility.
However I am no longer able to burn it from DVDFab.

Like you said DVDFab SEE's a Single Layer despite Disc Utility seeing a DL disc.

Is there something on DVDFab common settings I need to change to correct this?
I would like to continue to rip to iso and burn with the same software like I have been
              so far.

              Thanks Again

I think your file size is outside the safety margin built into Fab. In common settings/Write check the size for DVD-9, the actual size of a DL+R is 8,547,991,552 and my guess it's set less than 8547mb.

In Common settings under Write (DVD9) shows as 8100 as default.
I have an option in the drop down menu of selecting 8152 for (DVD+R DL)
                  or customize size.

My Verbatim disc show a limit of 8.5 GB, I know we do not like to burn to the very limit but these are the same disc I have always used with know issue. Whats interesting is the iso file is only 5.66GB. These are my options on the drop down menu, should I change it?

Select customize and set it where you want, I would not exceed 8500 on +R and never ever use a DL-R period.

                        OK will do that.

What do you feel is a comfortable number to set it at?

If you use high quality blanks like Verbatim I would set it to 8500. Fab sets it so it won't write too close to the outer edge where the speed is maximum and errors are prone to occur.

                            Perfect.

I am glad you noticed the limit DVDFab had on the disc. I am not sure what it was set to before nor why it got changed since it was working before.
Just glad you caught it for me!
