Video Converter Trying to convert .mv4 to dvd

    Hi,

Can anyone help ... I am trying to convert a movie my daughter has created for her homework in IMOVIE (.M4V) into a dvd or other format that can be viewed via a windows machine.

Have tried DVD creator but it does not recognise the .M4V format.

Am I wasting my time is .MV4 not a supported file format for conversions ?

    Thanks

An m4v file is just an mp4 modified by Apple to optionally add their DRM crap. You can change the file extension to mp4 and give it a try if you like. If iMOVIE adds Digitial Rights Management protection to its output then there is probably no way to do this.

Download VLC into your PC. It will view either .M4V or MP4. If you like you can output your file in mp4 from iMovie. Share - Share using Quick Time - to mp4. Also you can use iDVD to burn a DVD using either format. For standalone DVD without a menu template, click "Show the DVD Map" icon, then drag video to Drag Content Here box, then click that box and go to Advanced settings and click loop. Then burn it.
