Hi fabcrew,

In the New Version of fab the programm crashes every time i insert a blu Ray with cinivia protection (e.g. The amazing Spiderman).

After just buying DVDFAB a few days ago and successfully using it, I now can't get it to do anything. I've left it overnight 2 nights now, to return to a rip still on 0% progress.

MakeMKV extracts the video just fine, so I'm confident it's not my hardware.

What should I look for to figure out the problem?

I am getting the beachball of death after the cinivia warning pops up. It freezes, and I have to force quit the app.

The app works normally (get to the select title screen) on discs without cinivia.

After much mucking around, I'm still getting problems.

Here's my log file...

My problem is when I'm trying to rip How To Train Your Dragon 3D, to an mkv file. The BluRay has 7.1 sound, and no obvious 5.1 track. If I try to make an ac3 or aac audio track, the rip just stalls after about 5 - 6 min, and ‘task time left’ just increases, with no further progress on the rip. (In the finder, the file size shows merely as 4 kb, and never increases in size.)

If I perform an audiocopy rip, it works, but for some reason the resulting file plays with audio out of sync, and in Plex, the audio track won't play at all. But curiously, audio will play in VLC and BluRay Player.
