Many post-update problems (solved) - and a feature request.

Hi all,

For the second time I have installed a major DVDfab update, jumping 4 or 5 versions and had numerous problems. These include :

* Unable to open blu-ray sources. Loads infinitely and never prompts for region.
* Beach balling and become become non-responsive when buttons are clicked (settings, drive or path selection, etc).
* Beach balling when you quit. The only way to exit is a forced shutdown.

In both cases I tinkered for hours, installing older versions, reading forums and looking at logs.

In both cases the answer was simple, but does not appear to be documented.

The machine needs to be rebooted after the new version is installed, but before it is used. Once this is done the problems go away.

Perhaps future versions of DVDfab could request a reboot when the install is complete?

There are many big changed for 4-5 versions, so reboot can make sure install completed. It could not reboot in each update.
If Fab still has numerous problems, download a package and do a full install.
