    Movie will not copy

I just got a copy of The African Queen from Warner Bros Online Store. When I try to copy the disk to make an ISO file, it never really copies it. it gets to 2% and will stay there for hours. The time elapsed will change but the time to completion stays at 00:00. The movie seem to have no trouble playing but DVDFab chokes on it.

I'm not hopeful for a solution to this but feel that people should know that this movie is not recordable with DVDFab 9.1.6.8.

check the disc for dirt fingerprints ect. and clean the disc.
if still unsuccessful in copying then you may have a bad disc.
just because the disc will play doesn't mean it will copy.
you can also try to disable pathplayer in settings.

        Making another attempt...

I tried using my main machine but it never seemed to really start. I switched to my Old iMac as it is my only Mac with an internal drive. This was the one thad hung at 2% before. I turned off PathPlayer and while it started slow, after about 10 minutes it actually got to 3% and started showing progress on the "Time Left" counter. It's a big movie, 7.79GB in size so maybe that was part of the problem.
It's now at 15% at 25 minutes elapsed time and still copying. After it finishes making the ISO, I'll mount it and see if it plays.

          Copied to ISO successfully.

It took about one and a half hours to finish, but it did finish and it plays. It's slightly pixelated, but no other faults noticed. The turning off of PathPlayer seemed to help.

I decided to use PassKey 8 on my Windows 7 Laptop and it made a perfect iso. Maybe some of the PassKey code could be added to DVDFab for Mac to improve performance on some of these problematic DVDs. Just a thought.
