Hello All
I have been using DVDFab for a long time now and love it. Moved from a PC on to a MAC (due to work, not really by choice) :-)
However, I had been using DVDFab through Parallels so that my PC version would still work. The conversion time for a standard DVD to H264 was okay, nothing blisteringly fast as the machine does not have CUDA or QuickSync or any of the other lovely things that make the conversion faster.
BUT, if I load the native version of DVDFab for Mac and run the same encoding with all the same settings, it is much slower than running through Parallels?
On average, DVDFab running through Parallels I get a frame rate of over 100fps. On the Native Mac DVDFab same settings, I get a frame rate of between 60-70fps?
Why? Surely running a native application the conversion should be faster? Or is the coding better written for PC?
Suggestions please :-)
Thanks.
