Getting prompted for writable disc before it even reads the source

This is new to me. Doing a full copy (compressed) I put the source in, reads it I hit Start and then it ejects the disc and asks for a writable disc even though it never started to read the source.

This used to work, read source, eject, wait for writeable disc, write, finish.
