Trouble with recommended repair

I have tried to follow the repair route DVDFab suggests. I get to Terminal (in Utilities) where I'm supposed to paste some info--but there is no space for same. Hoping a Mac user has been able to do this "repair."Any help greatly appreciated. Roger
