In the last few months I have found that PowerDVD 9, 10 and "12 trial" now require a DVI, DP or HDMI cable. I have a pair of VGA connected to thru a dual monitor KVM to several systems and PowerDVD no longer works. Fortunately, Nero Kwik plays BluRays using DVI to VGA (mostly).
Cyberlink admin posted that DVI, DP and HDMI are mandatory for BD certified players.
So far, your media player works fine with a DVI to VGA adapter and I hope it stays that way.
thanks!
