HD audio on Mac?

I am only able to get 5.1 DTS or DD, HD tracks don't play, 7.1 doesn't work either. I have 7.1 speaker configured and HDMI enabled at preferences. Is it possible to play these on Mac?

What about adding 3D in future?

Mac doesn't provide HDMI bit-streaming API, so we cannot support it.
