How to play a DVD Movie from HDD?

    Version 1.0.2.1.

In the "old" version 1.0.2.0 I could use the function "Open File" and then browse to a folder on the HDD and double click on the VIDEO_TS file and the DVD Movie was opened and started to play. In this new version - nothing happens.

Is it just for me that this no longer works?

    Win7/64

    Edit:

If the DVD compliant files resides inside a VIDEO_TS folder and I want to open that folder - nothing shows up. It just exits the "Browse for File" window and returns to the main window.

My first post is fixed. Thanks for that!

Assume I have a DVD movie saved on the HDD.

If the DVD files (.ts, .bup, .vob) are not located inside a VIDEO_TS folder, it's not possible to start the play back using the VIDEO_TS.IFO file. Could this be changed?

I just click on the VIDEO_TS folder and it plays the movie. Works a treat!

True. But if you don't have one? Most other players can start the play back just from the VIDEO_TS.IFO file.

Ok, I've never saved to the HDD that way. Can you make a video_ts folder and copy the files into it? I might try that.

Yep that worked, I created a VIDEO_TS folder on the desktop and copied the contents of a movie folder into it and it played by clicking the folder. Maybe something to get by until the functionality is added.

If I put the files inside a VIDEO_TS folder, then the playback works.
