It actually turns out that the subtitles are there.
What is happening is that, on the monitor I was using to test software,
the subtle color difference on the scroll bars in the pop-up subtitles
selection menu was not visible.
The actual subtitles were the 34th and 35th items in the menu. Since
I could not see the items, and could not see the scroll bars, I just
assumed that they could not be found.
The dev team may want to consider resorting the subtitles selection
menu in the following order:
A slightly more noticeable color difference in the scroll bars might
help, too.

A slightly more noticeable color difference in the scroll bars might
