Unable display subtitle

I had no issue playing many types of media files but did not succeed once to have an SRT file displayed. It appears loaded in the Subtitle menu but it does not display on the screen

Does it show in VLC? What's the encoding, ANSI or UTF?

I have the same problem. Srt properly displayed with VLC (encoding ANSI)

Any suggestion?
