Media Player Has Stopped Working message

Running Win 8.1 64bit..Installed latest version. All I can do is open Files. No other function works. No "About" function listed anywhere. Tried Uninstalling multiple times. Cleaned Prefetch, cleaned registry. Nothing works.

I move this to its own thread, different issue.

Make sure Media Player is activated.

Activated in Win 8.1 and will not work

I Activated it or tried to Multiple times.OK I've tried Installing and Uninstalling multiple times. It Will Not Work. Tried on 2 pcs both running Win 8.1 64 bit. Tried cleaning registry and all associated files and folders. It Will Not Work. I can open a file using the center function. If I try any other button (like Menu) it immediately gives me error box saying DVDFab Media player Has Stopped Working ..then closes. If there is no fix then I want my money credited back Immediately!

            Shutdown your antivirus app

Hi kzajac, Please shutdown your antivirus app, if you are running one, to see if that addresses the problem.
