    cannot play 4k videos properly

    hello again

fab media player has some probs playing
    high resolution videos

i read on the hp that it supports
HEVC (H.265), UHD und 4K videos

but playback is very jerky (cpu load goes to 100%)

i own an intel core i5 4670 and an amd hd7850 gfx card
    (which should be fast enough)
    my screen resolution is 1920x1200
no matter if i play it in a window or full screen

i tested svereal 4k and uhd videos
and many (not all) cannot be played with full fps

You might have more luck generating and playing Ultra HD encodes using AVC/h.264.

HEVC requires a lot more GPU/CPU power even when playing 1920x1080 encoded content. And much will depend on the profile that was used to generate the video stream in the first place

yep but vlc can play these files without probs
(without dxva, cpu load is about 60-70%)
