I recently made a backup of a movie called "Phoenix" which is a foreign film (German language). So when a made the movie only backup with DVDFab, I defaulted the English Subtitle.
When I played the backup in Media Player there were a couple of issues. First, even though the backup was made with the subtitle track on, media player defaulted to off so I had to turn on the subtitle track. That has been an issue forever and it isn't a major inconvenience.
The major issue is even after I turned on the subtitle track, they were never displayed.
I then played the movie in VLC to see if it was an issue with the movie or the player. VLC both started with the track on and displayed them properly. So it is an issue with Media Player.
