is it a requirement when using netflix or amazon player to have a local and or international subsciption with netflix or amazon. will one local subsciption allow access to international content?

Hi, yes, one local subscription will allow you to access international content; for Amazon content, you need to set the correct country in the Settings > VIP Service panel based on the content you want to watch.
