Can't Use Downloaded Passkey

Hello...

I have downloaded the passkey, but it is in a format that makes no sense. The filename is key.dvdfab6.

I have opened it in a text editor but copying it into the registration form does not work. It consists of a very, very long string of characters.

Please help.
