Other Passkey 8 recently becomes not to be able to use ? Is it true?

I recently noticed that Passkey 8 can’t decrypt BDAV(Blu-ray).

I questioned to support team, and the answer is “Passkey 8 recently becomes not to be able to use. It need to purchase Passkey 9”.
Is it true?

I think the answer is not match with situation.
I was succeeded to decrypt before, and this disc has no new protection.
I confirmed to be shown “Never Expire”, and BDMV decryption has no problem to be succeeded.

As long as you have a current license for Passkey 8 you should be able to upgrade to Passkey 9 at no additional cost. The only exception is if you received a FREE Passkey 8 license during their promo they offered awhile back then your license won't be valid on Passkey 9.

I purchased Passkey 8 for DVD, and got giveaway for Blu-ray.
I didn’t upgrade to passkey 9, because I purchased Fab 10 and it is enough for BDMV
I sometimes use Passkey 8 for .BDAV(Blu-ray), because Fab10 can’t copy (changes BDMV) and there was new protection.
