Discs not recognized as the proper type

I've been having an issue ever since migrating to a new PC where Passkey won't decrypt my discs anymore. Not that it can't but it seems to be failing to recognize Blu Ray discs as Blu Ray and then not decrypting them because it doesn't think they're Blu Rays. It seems like no matter what disc I put into this system all Passkey displays is:

    Code:
Info for drive [E:\] (DVDFab Passkey 9.4.6.7)
    Vendor: HL-DT-ST, Product: BD-RE WH14NS40
    Revision: 1.05, Vendor specific: N000900KLRM9H90053
Drive region: 1 (RPC II), changes left: 4(user) / 4(vendor)
AACS v1, AGIDs: 2, revocation level: Unknown
    Support: BUS_ENCRYPTION=YES BN_GENERATION=YES

    Disc media: DVD (Data)
    Disc is not opened.

There's nothing wrong with the discs or the hardware, I can play discs directly through VLC with libaacs even when Passkey isn't recognizing the disc as the right type. I simply prefer Passkey for PotPlayer. I've even managed to get Passkey to recognize the disc once or twice but it's spotty and whatever fixes things doesn't stay after a reboot.

    From "passkey_internal.log" I get:

    Code:
    DVDFabPasskey 9.4.6.7 (2024/02/17 16:26:19)

Which I guess is confusing because it all seems to be working OK, it sees "BDMV", identifies the volume label and drive letter...then just goes sideways and re-identifies the disc as type 0 instead of type 20 and stops.

I did get one successful decryption recently, I think I had gone into Passkey settings and manually reset DMA but I may have also fiddled with Passkey's Region setting if that's what worked it only worked for the reboot immediately afterwards and started failing again the next day.

    That log:

Any ideas how I could get discs consistently recognizing?

I have passed your log file to the developer.
Meanwhile, did you try other BDs, the same problem?

We don't have the same disc, but we've tested 3 different Blu-rays, no problem here. Please create a PISO file and send it to us to check the problem. And please refer to the PM for more information. Thanks.

The particular disc doesn't seem to matter. I have seen the same behavior on pretty much every BD disc I've tried, whether parts of a set or a standalone film.

We could not duplicate the problem using our sources. If you have another drive, please connect it to your PC to try again and see if it will make a difference.
