Have been using this app with great results til today.Computer had been off for couple days and came back on thinking it was 2004.Changed the time to the present and I immediately got the message the app was too old and to dl new version.Did but still got this error.Tried using ccleaner as suggested in another thread but the problem persists.Appreciate any help you can give

Had the same problem recently under the same circumstances. Seems they don't like System date changes. Go to the post I submitted(down about five posts) " Application is Old Version" and download the version from the link provided. Solved my problem... -

This problem has to be relying on stored data someplace, right? So, if all files were 'cleansed' or deleted prior to reinstalling then the problem most likely is in the registry, wherever data for this app is placed by it's coder.
Just because the key where the app is located was erased doe not mean there is not related data hidden elsewhere.
Someone has to track registry changes prior to an app EVER being installed to truly make a clean clean. I didn't think DVDFab does those things, but am aware of some that do. But you can't blame them either as it also protects them down the road (possibly).
Track a "new" install on a virgin computer & you'll likely find more answers than what's here so far.
