Interlacing artifacts converting 1080i to 720p

Hi, I am converting 1080i TS material to 720p H264 MKV.

I use generic.mkv.h264.audiocopy, and the only setting I change is the resolution to 720p (1280x720).

When I change to 720p, the bitrate automatically changes to 4142Kbps.

The converted movie plays ok, but wherever there is motion, I can see some interlacing artifacts. E.g. Sesame Street, when Elmo moves his face, his white eyes have lines through them.

If I do a similar conversion using other program, the video quality is perfect.

Both DVDFab and other program produce files about the same size and about the same bitrate.

How do I get DVDFab to not produce the interlacing artifacts?

    P.

    Hi,
Please set A/V codec as software in Common settings, select the default setting. Retry to check results.I've found the interlace solution http://forum.dvdfab.com/showthread.p...ight=interlace.
