Appcrash on every M2TS on 2nd pass

DVDFab now crashes every time when switching from the first pass to the second. Profile used was generic.mkv.h264.audiocopy but DVDFab crashes on every h264 profile.

I only use software encoding. Using only 1-pass encoding is not possible since that produces a massive delay between the video and the audio track.

Will this ever be fixed? I have tried to convert several dozen M2TS and MKV files using software-only for decode/encode and it either crashes, never finishes, produces a file full of video glitches, or produces a file with audio/video severely out of sync. I have not had a single successful conversion. There have been times when I think it worked, but half way through a movie there are severe video glitches, or will not allow me to skip/reverse (using SageTV with HD300 media extender), it just freezes or plays audio with no video.

I've tried every version since January, including betas with no change.

      Thank you.

Yes, same problem still over here. Either it crashes or sits there for hours doing nothing...

          Hi wpa1160,

          Complete name : D:\inception.m2ts
          Format : BDAV
Your source m2ts file is BDAV format, we are trying to get the same format source and will check where the conversion problem is, please give us more days. Thanks.

          Sincerely,

Similar problems. The basic program works great, but these new modules seem to be totally useless for anything but wasting time and discs. I have confidence that the DVDFAB techs will eventually work the bugs out, though.

                  hi,

I have check this log, this is not the problem about 2pass, when you select source and DVDFab select profile for you, please click "Edit" button, to make sure the output size is correct. and we will check this problem too.

                  thanks.

Still crashes even with the newest version.

If I use one pass the video is rendered with a horrible audio lag - but DVDFab doesn't crash.

If I use two pass the first pass is done, the second pass starts and DVDFab writes about 100-150 MB to disk before it crashes.

The message regarding the output size is nonsense (see attachment). If the input video is 1920x1080/23.976 fps and DVDFab exactly uses that settings for rendering I don't have to check the output size.

It HAS to do something with the second pass - otherwise the first pass would also crash.

Is there a solution possible the next time? I reported the error in March and I cannot count the new releases of DVDFab crashing since that date...
