    Two issues MP4 coverter

    Hi,

I have 2 issues... my syspyomes seem to be same/similar to this one in the forum.

The specific issues are... downloaded these videos

They both play fine on my PC - but are a bit big for my Ipod - so wanted to use converter.

First attempt - they did not convert at all - I selected with the Ipod.itouch profile - told it to convert and it just sat there.. it did nothing.
I eventually tracking it down - to the GPU setting - once I ticked the "Disable all GPU codecs for decoding and encoding" it then started to work.

However - I then came across the same problem as in the thread above... it would start to convert - get to about 26% and then just stop... no error message, it just stopped.

My machine is Win 7 Ult 64bit...graphics (since initial prob seems GPU related) is a ATI 6970. with latest drivers (11.6).

Let me know if you need more info or the offical log files.. here is some (I did cancel when it stopped - I have let it run for an hour in past -but it still not restart).

    Hi Yoji,

You can try to install the latest beta Qt version 8.1.0.6 at to convert again and see the result.

All due respect Anny - but are you a part of the real support team who has a real idea that the changes in the beta might resolve the issue? - or just a helpful member who is just guessing? I guess I know... but before I realised - I assumed the former and did it... no improvement in either of my issues.

      Cheers

        Hi Yoji,

We can open these two links

there are two videos with total time 57:44 and 01:05:58, both of them are large flvs as you said, need to download, do some tests on our side. Please give more time. Thanks in advance for your patience.

BTW: Anny is one of our dvdfab service staff, we always ask user to try the latest version, since the newest log file will give us the newest reference. Thanks for your understanding.

        Sincerely,
        --
        Sunny

Thanks for the clarification... Since you suggest the latest beta may have better diagnostics - here is the latest log info - from the 8.1.0.6 beta

I did cancel - but again - only after it got stuck and did not progress at all for a long time.

And Just to confirm - it would not progress at all unless I had the ""Disable all GPU codecs for decoding and encoding"" ticked.

          Cheers
