.mkv to ps3 default present -- audio only

I have been trying to convert .mkv files to mp4 to play on ps3, using the ps3 default peremters. the conversation starts, the progress data does not change, and after a while, I get a finished conversation -- audio only. During the converasion, the frames per second being recencoded does not show.

What am I doing wrong?
