    Conversion fails, software crash

I have tried two different files in converter.
First a .mpg and then a .mkv.
Analysing starts but after a second DVDFab crashes.

I tried in 8.2.2.8 and there it works.

    Log attached.

      Tried that, again!
Uninstalled, ran ccleaner, rebooted, reinstalled (as admin) and rebooted.
      Deactivated GPU acceleration.
Analysing starts with progress bar and immediately crashes.
Tried 9.0.3.7. same procedure as above.
      Same issue!

I have no problem with copying or ripping.

      This is frustrating!

I have had 9.0.3.8 and other Fab 9 version all fail and crash during Copy, Clone, convert... you name it; where Fab 8 was just fine. I have disabled the all encoders as recommended and then Fab 9 works. But why should we have to disable this? It works in Fab 8. Whats up with Fab 9. It should be better.

I had the same problem at first but after a clean install all worked except convert.
Running 9.0.3.8 at the moment and GPU acceleration works on Copy and Rip.

Still the same problem with crashes wen trying to run Convert though.

Last working Version for me was 9.0.3.6. all newer Versions stop Working after few Seconds to convert. Still using Version 9.0.3.6.

                Fab 9 Conversions still fails

Well just installed the new version 9.0.4.0 dated 15/5/2013.
and it still gives errors. All GPU codecs disabled and no lightning-recoding.
I thought it would be a simple process to create a high quality 2 pass conversion.
According to the MediaInfo, the video is an AVC in a .MKV file

                Basic error:
22:26:13 Conversion: two pass - first pass
00:58:34 Conversion: two pass - second pass
                00:58:38 Work 1 failed, Error = graph not_suitable_connected_filter graph(0) - pinName:video frame

                Other Logs attached.

Can you please tell us where you got the source file?

It shouldn't matter where he got the source file.

Before you guys going on about copyright & illegal encodes:-

                      1. There ARE legal torrent sites.
                      2. There ARE files on torrent sites with no copyright.
                      3. If Video Converter is unable to handle these and is not supported in these instances, why bother developing it and why would I bother buying it?
                      4. I have always found it less than ordinary on converting ANY file (even those which I encode myself) and it has ALWAYS been continually plagued by this specific problem.

What does matter is the MediaInfo on the file to see whether the original file is poorly encoded. This is totally another matter and the actual source file seems fine.

I have tested several files and none work!
It Crashes immediately upon importing the file.

See attached mediainfo txt for one of them.

                          Hi GregiBoy
There may be legal torrent sites, most torrent sites already have the copyright stripped from the file, Rise of the guardians definitely has its copyrights.
If there is a problem with the converter function in Fab, then the developer will have to deal with this, not "you or I", since we did not develop this software.

And since I'm the moderator here, you will let me decide how members adhere to the forum rules, not you.
