I made a couple avi files one with ac3 and one with mp3 audio and both worked with version 9.0.5.1. May have to do with your source files wherever they might have come from.
I'm not trying to make a .AVI, I have good playable AVI's. I am needing to convert them to DVD. It seems the rendering is all good, just when it gets to the actual DVD it errors out. The log above doesn't state anything about erroring however so I do not know what to do?
Where did you get them? AVI's downloaded from Torrent sites can quite often be badly encoded but will still play on a PC because the PC Codecs can handle it whilst transcoding software is more demanding on things being correct.

friend has workout videos he probably got off the net and asked if I could get them onto DVD. So - yes they work on my computer but perhaps the "codec?" is incompatible? Can AVI's be converted to another AVI or MP4 than can then be converted to DVD?
