Converting multiple .vob's to one h.264 file for iPad 3

Have been using dvd copy for YEARS but since we are planning a trip I thought it would be nice to get some videos onto the iPad for my daughter. My issue is that, after spending the last 3 hours reading, I can't seem to figure out how to make it work properly. I have managed to convert the individual .vob's but I can't seem to figure out how to make them into 1 single file to move over.
I was hoping this would be a streamlined process as I am in a time crunch now.
Any help/thoughts/direction to a thread I may not have read yet would be greatly appreciated.

You use the Ripper module, select the title & the profile and that's it.

      Thanks for the reply GregiBoy
Any time I try and choose the folder for a movie in the ripper module it gives me an error and says the file is not playable.
I have also tried to open the video_ts folder in Exporer and drag the .vob files I want onto the ripper module in dvdfab. When I do this they all load in converter separately.
I can process the queue, but I get several different files instead of one.
What I would like is to take the multiple .vob's and output one mp4.
      Any help is appreciated.

        Try this...

Use the COPY module and copy a movie to your hard disk.

You should have a folder "Moviename" and under this should be a VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS subdirectory.

Open the ripper module and select the "Moviename" folder and this should then give you a list of titles on the disk. Do NOT select the VIDEO_TS directory.

Let us know how you get on.

The movies (about 300 of them) are already ripped to my computer in the format that includes multiple .vob files. Today I upgraded to the All in 1 package so that I could convert them to be useful on the iPad.

When I do that I get an error message. It states "Failed to open "Moviename". Please check if it's playable.

All the movies are indeed playable.

If I drag the individual .vob files to ANY module it forces them into the converter portion. I have the option to do something with them in the Creator portion but not in the Copy or Ripper portions.

My initial thought was to use the merge function in the copy portion to create a single file but with the upgrade to the new All in One suite I can't seem to make that portion work.

With an original movie disk I can use the ripper function and make it work but I would LOVE to avoid having to redo all that work when all I need to do is combine the .vob's and convert them. That whole process will be time consuming enough.

          Thoughts?

          And thank you!!!

You need to have the IFO files present in the VIDEO_TS directory. Also there should be BUP files.

            Are they there?

Latest Version 9.1.0.1, Ripper Tab, choose profile then press "Add".

Choose the folder above the VIDEO_TS one.

                  similar issue

I am having similar issue. Managed to just convert a movie for my Kindle HD 8.9 using ripper function, but ...

                  1. there are 10-11 MP4s. One is the movie, the rest are multiple copies of intro 20th century logo and some previews.

                  2. Menu is missing so captions cannot be turned off

are there some settings maybe I'm missing? Turning captions ON is IMPERATIVE but I don't want them always on because my 12 year old will watch some of them alone and I don't want her getting dependent on them.

                  Thanks!!

You just copy the main movies to kindle fire HD and audios should be 2.0(Stereo). The subtitle is render into video, so could not turned off.
