Hello, I am having trouble using CUDA on 3d converstion software. Setup: g4560, 16gb ddr4, 250 ssd, 620w psu, GTX 1060 6gb, win7 x64, latest drivers, cuda tollkit.
I have tried Dvdfab, latest versions.
When using 1 CPU:
The x86 version: enabled cuda from options. When doing a 3d conversion, it says CUDA GPU acceleration for video h264 encoding enabled , but in GPU Z the Video Engine Load is at about 1%. When I try a non 3d conversion, like mkv or mp4, the conversion is very fast (except for wmv), VEL in GPU Z is at 99%, and I get the message CUDA GPU acceleration for Lightning-Shrink enabled - this feature shows up regarldess if it is activated or not.
Cuda works for HVEC, but not on 10bit.
What is even more strange is that when I select Software for encoding for 3d file output, the conversion is twice as fast. So cuda, even though it's not doing anything, doubles the rendering time.
For the x64 version I get the same results, only when I use software coding I no longer get the double rendering time. Here 4k is available, a simple output is fine (not 3d), but in 4k 3d cuda sits at 4% .
All this happens when using 1 CPU core. When using 4 CPU s, the VEL sits at 10%.
I have reinstalled both the drivers and the software. Tried this as well: https://forums.geforce.com/default/t...te-/?offset=15
Is there anything from the drivers options I can set? Cuda is activated in nvidia CP. Power is set at maximum performance.
