Can't open source .m4v files

I purchased a TV show from itunes and want to convert it to divx so my blueray player can stream it. In DVDfab 8.0.2.2 (01/10/2010) video converter I cannot open the file from either the source menu bar or drag and drop it in the converter frame. I do get an open video source window for a second then it closes. There is nothing being reported in the logs. I have tried a number of different .m4v files to no avail.

Any hints?

All movies purchased from itunes are DRM protected and DVDFab does not remove DRM so I would believe that the problem.
