Videos turn out much darker than original

When converting mkv -> PS3 (mp4+aac) the resulting file ends up being much darker than the original file, I have attached images as well to show.

I use these same settings on a different computer, but the video turns out ok:
P4 3.0Ghz
2GB RAM
8600GT 256MB
WinXP Sp3

Any suggestions?

Try changing the A/V Codec settings to software to see if it fixes the problem
