Virtual Drive not portable? "Version mismatch"

I installed DVDfab Virtual drive v1.5.1.1 on an USB flash drive and started it later on another computer (each with Win 7 64bit).

After double click on vdrive.exe an error message popped up:

"DVDfab Virtual Drive version is mismatched.
Please restart your PC or reinstal DVDFab virtual drive"

Reboot does not help

I don't want to install VD on every computer but use it portable on-demand on various computers.

This should work according to support

Why not here?

Are there any old fragments in registry (from a previosu v1.1.12.0 installation)? Where exactly?

What else can be the problems? Outdated VD drivers?

You need install it on PC since it need the driver to work.
