You should be uninstalling by using the uninstaller for the virtual drive which is located in Start-all programs DVDFab Virtual Drive and not the add remove function for windows

The Add/Remove program function in Windows normally calls the registered uninstaller for the program so it shouldn't do any difference.

Tried to run both the Uninstall from the Program menu and also directly by running the unins000.exe file. Both times BSOD.

Do you others also get a BSOD?

never uninstalled the virtual drive as I not have a reason to remove it also I have not updated it for awhile but will give it a try later after I finish backing up my True Blood season 2 set

Nope... No BSOD on uninstalls on XP, Vista or Win 7.
