Movie rips are encoded incorrectly - Movies too long.

Hello,

I usually encode in HEVC 10bit for all of my library. I like how it smooths stuff out, and I don't get much banding at all.

With that being said.. I am not sure if this is the problem or if its hardware encoding, versus software encoding.

When I encode a 1 hr 42 min movie, and I open it up in VLC or anything else it says the movie is 10+ hours. This seems to happen pretty consistently. I've just tried to disable hardware encoding in general, and trying purely software encoding to see if maybe something is going on with hardware encoding.

Just wanted to see if this is common or what. Or if anyone had any thoughts.

Hello,

So I tried 3 times to hardware encode Seventh Son (Movie). Each time, using different machines, etc etc It would make the movie 10+ hours long, even tho DVDFab knows its 1hr 42min.

However, I just tried a software encode, and it shows up correctly now.

Maybe something wrong with hardware encoding in recent changes? (I've noticed that a lot of movies are doing this, not certain ones.)

Thoughts?

We test with other movie sources we have, but we could not reproduce the problem. Please confirm whether you have the same problem with other sources or not, please list the names.

My system specs are in the thread above I believe. It seems to only happen when I do 1-pass and use the 1080Ti to encode.

Does not seem to happen on my other system when I do GPU Encoding with a GTX1060.

If I disable GPU Encoding/decoding everything seems to work fine. It only happens with specific movies/shows like Expanse.

Please use DVDFab Copy-Clone mode to create an iso file from Expanse and then send the iso file to us to help check the problem, thank you in advance.
