    DVDFAB Hardware Info

    Hello,

I wanted to ask what the Hardware Info in DVDFab shows.

Is it what DVDFab can utilize from the GPU or what the GPU supports?

According to Intel the UHD 630 supports Decoding of VC-1 (3840x3840) and encoding of MPEG2 up to 1080p.

    Hi Quantumleap,

Yes, your understand is mostly right.

The wiki only show intel GPU ability info, but not mention any restrict for detail.

According to our test, Intel QSV VC-1 decode ability is only support limited source, and will cause blurred frames in some frames, so DVDFab disabled it.

And DVDFab not use mpeg2 encode for now. Because mpeg2 only used for limited functions such as BD to DVD,

and for modern cpu, mpeg2 is a pice of cake, will be fast .

    Thanks!
