anyone experiencing dvd disc errors on the new version?

sometimes, it does NOT recognize the optical drive, both internal and/or external optical drive

I have to revert to ver 12.0.3.8 to rip dvd's.

case in point, out of the 9 disc, 6 has disc read errors on 3.9 version

while only 2 on 3.8,

developers, please check...
