    New to DVDFab again

    Hello,

I used to use this program to make copies to back up my discs
I am trying to rip some of my dvds to mp4 to play on my roku or other devices

It seems like everything I try to rip is at "480"
    The dvd is "720"
DVD Copy & DVD Ripper are "authorized"

    AM I missing something?

click on the little wrench icon next to the play button, see if you can choose next to video quality - high quality
    or customize.

DVD video is by definition 720 horizontal pixels x 480 vertical pixels for NTSC (the USA standard) - which is usually referred to as 480.

DVD Video resolution (maximum) = 720x480 (NTSC) or 720x576 (PAL)
      Normal Blu-ray discs maximum resolution is 1920 X 1080.
      A 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray disc has a resolution of 3840 X 2160.

Ya like Rich86 said, DVDs are 480. One of the reasons I DO NOT compress or re-encode dvds to anything else. They will suffer massive jagged edges and just overall a bad visual experience. For dvds I just use makemkv. It literally remuxes the dvds into mkv files. No loss of quality but higher file sizes. But since dvds are so small anyway. I'm ok with file sizes.
