Blu-ray creator changes frame rate when authoring

I recently created a Blu-ray from a file that runs at 59.94 fps, and the resulting ISO/disc shows the file converted to 23.976 fps.

1. What is the reason for this?

2. Since Blu-ray supports the faster frame rate, why can't I select it? Google's assistant suggests that DVDFab has a switch for this, but I don't see it in version 13.0.4.5.

The Creator module doesn't support adjusting the frame rate.

Thank you for your reply. The auto-conversion from 59.97 to 23.98 is actually quite good so it's really not a problem. I was just surprised by the switch.
