I am a new user of DVDFab and the quality I am getting is significantly worse than what I previously obtained from a combination of MakeMKV and Handbrake. I have chosen Rip to Theatre and get a file size comparable to the other tools but the image is grainy and, at times, pixellated. How can I get acceptable results?

Getting low quality rips

I would expect the quality of your rip to equal the quality of your DVD. I generally use the "Copy" "Full Disc" function and get good results since it is not compressing anything when I do that. But more than likely I will burn it to a disc & may have to compress the video to fit on single layer media. Are you ripping it to a hard disc to play directly on your TV or other video device?

I am ripping it to put it on a JellyFin server to play on Firesticks and mobile devices, When I try the Copy function it tells that that it is a different product, that I have to buy something other that the DVD Ripper I paid for. Have I bought the wrong product or is there a way to get decent quality from the Ripper? The file sizes it is producing are comparable to those my former workflow of MakeMKV and Handbrake produce but of significantly worse quality. Is there a way to tell if this is in the ripping process or the encoding? Is it using ffmpeg and, if so, is there a way to see what settings it is using?
