Unable to download from Crunchyroll with 2.2.0.0 and Android app

Attempting to download video from Crunchyroll.com results in the selected video being added to the download list but doesn't start downloading. This is the same for PC version 2.2.0.0 and the Andriod App.

The site also loads extremely slow through the inbuilt browser - normal browsing is fine
