StreamFab and Downloading from multiple services.

Under 4.x.x.x each service ran in a separate GUI. I could queue up videos to stream under multiple services, i.e. Amazon and Disney+. Then I could run one for a while or until daily max, then pause that and close the GUI. Videos remained queued for the first service and I could resume later or the next day. Then I could open the GUI for the other service and start downloading. I could run in any order - service 1, then 2, then 1 then 3, and so on.

Under 5.0.0.2 all services run under a single GUI and I have ONLY the option to "start ALL" or "pause ALL". I can't find a way to reorder or start downloading from a specific service.

Is there a way to do this under 5.0.0.2 or am I stuck flushing and reloading one queue at a time?

This is one of those things that was very poorly thought out, it seems. Streamfab has never had the ability to reorder downloads (though , good idea), and now that all of those are batched together, yes, you will definitely need a method to pause all from X service, especially since they've gone on the "you can download only so much" bandwagon. Hopefully that doesn't prevent the REST of your downloads from working ;(

twhiting9275 they did add the "move to top" option when looking at a queue list before downloading. But you are right, they never implemented true queue management where you can move something to say position 3, rather than all the way to the top, and there is no option to move to the bottom, etc. That would be nice. (I think back to the DVD queue on Netflix where you have numbered list in your queue, and you can move a disc to the top, bottom, or specify a number position)

fredbebar I haven't installed 5.0.0.2 yet, but in v5.0.0.1, it seems to be one download queue, listed/grouped by services at the moment. And it does not appear that you can select the service order for downloading (i.e. you can't specify which service queue gets downloaded).

I know their release notes do mention a future feature of being able to download from multiple services concurrently. I imagine at that point, they'll add separate start/stop button for each service's queue, at least I hope they will. I know there was discussion of the idea to have user specified limits on the max concurrent services to download from. So someone with low bandwidth could limit to 2 or 3, where as someone with faster service could have 3 or 4 or so. So these are features that Might not come immediately, but rather down the road some time.

We're at that point now, with 5 being released as 'stable'.

Since this thread has been opened up, it's safe to say that
        A: they have not
        or
B: it's not where users can easily find it

The beginning of my sentence to which you are replying was "release notes do mention a future feature of being able to download from multiple services concurrently"

We are NOT yet at that future feature. Concurrent downloads feature is NOT YET available. AND WHEN we get there, when they make the feature available, that is when I hope they add something.

IF you want to question their releasing version 5 before all features from the release notes' "Things to do in the following updates:" section have been implemented, I would say yeah, as a user it would have been nice to have a fully upgraded, with all features, app.

BUT there are enough changes now, that putting out a minimum viable product (feature ready in this iteration) could help keep things simple which could aid with identifying bugs and hopefully fixing them, rather than putting out a fully changed product with a ton of new features that could be harder to track down bugs.... Not to mention that those features on the "things to do" list are NOT advertised as being in the product now either in the forums, or on the web page selling StreamFab.

The email sent advertising StreamFab 5 makes clear the updates include and the FUTURE enhancements
Along with the recent UI & UE improvements, we are glad to introduce the all-new StreamFab 5 to you.

New Tab Display Mode: StreamFab Ver. 5 will now display all streaming services with multiple tabs built into the main interface.

New Task Manager: Upgraded management of the download queue allows you to manage all tasks and downloads in one clear place.

Entirely Improved UI & UE: A more refined sidebar design, with a clearer main interface.
All those are there. Tab Display mode akin to the old non-streaming service interface is implemented for all parts of the app. The new task manager does allow you to see/manage (i.e. delete, move to top), all downloads in one screen. and while we can debate if its improved or not, the UI & UE does have the side bar.

If you read the full email it doesn't list anything else that IS INCLUDED NOW.

          It further states:
Some great new features in future updates will support downloading from multiple services at the same time, automatically downloading new TV episodes from subscribed streaming services, and more! We appreciate your continued support as we make improvements.
          (red added by me)
Notice it says WILL not DOES.

my apologies as I didn't address something... BASED on discussion in another thread when I was having an issue with v5.0.0.1, what is supposed to happen is the queue from Service 1 downloads, then Service 2, then service 3... IF you have 75 things in queue for service 1, when you start downloading and you hit the max for the day of that service, StreamFab is supposed to skip to the next service and continue, and the remaining items should stay on the queue for service 1.

I have NOT queued enough and tried it. Maybe I'll get time and try that later tonight.
