Ad Blockers, DNS Sinkholes, Pi-Hole affect on StreamFab

    Hello,

I had been having issues with intermittent downloads from Amazon.

The following information fixed my failures and significantly increased the video bit-rate and added EAC3 5.1 audio. All I got before was stereo.

I use Pi-hole, a DNS Sinkhole to reduce unwanted advertising. This is setup on my firewall and affects everything connecting to the Internet from my home. It was necessary to add the following urls to my whitelist: (Your ulrs may be different. Don't copy mine.)
    • s3.ll.videorolls.row.aiv-cdn.net
    • s3-iad-2.cf.dash.row.aiv-cdn.net
    • c.amazon-adsystem.com
    • api.us-east-1.aiv-delivery.net
    • s3-iad-ww.cf.videorolls.row.aiv-cdn.net

Not sure you needed to whitelist

    • c.amazon-adsystem.com
I believe that is part of their cross site tracker for ad targeting.
The others I already had for another application I use, but thanks for the info.

        Just-a-Dler,

Thanks, you were correct. Removing c.amazon-adsystem.com from the whitelist does not affect using StreamFab with Amazon.
