Interestingly, the Mac version does not have a re-encode download for Amazon in the new version.

So this is only in the new Windows version.

I don't want to waste my time downloading a 540p that is going to be upscaled.

Repeating it often doesn't make it more correct.

There is no upscaling, neither 6163 with 480/540p nor 6168 with 720p/1080p.
Re-encoded result has same resolution like the download.

You cannot get a higher resolution without reencoding. Therefore, upscaling is correct in this case.

if the input and output resolution are identical, it is not upscaling, regardless of whether something is encoded or not! I was wrong in my statement above. I understood it is pushed to 1080. Thanks German Boy for the correction.
