StreamFab for Windows StreamFab v6.1.9.5 - Changelog Explanation

    Hey, what exactly means:

"New: Download engine updated to x64 in StreamFab x64 version."

Does this only apply to downloads from YouTube or to all Streaming Providers in general ?

What are the advantages of this ?

All of these changes below simply mean that they have updated YT-DLP (which SF calls YouTubeToMP3Process.exe) to a later version. I haven't installed 6.1.9.5 yet, so I'm not sure what version they used. The latest YT-DLP nightly is 08212024. The YT-DLP folks do all the work, and the SF developer takes all the credit in the changelog.

New: Some improvements on the YouTube Downloader module.
-New: Download engine updated to x64 in StreamFab x64 version.
-New: Added support to download videos from KICK.

-New: Some improvements on downloading videos from afreecatv.
-New: Some improvements on downloading videos from picarto.
-New: Some improvements on downloading videos from TV5 MONDE.
-New: Some improvements on downloading videos from chzzk.
-New: Some improvements on downloading videos from VTV.
-New: Some improvements on downloading videos from Bilibili.

      YoutubeToMP3Process shows in 6195 same version as in 6194 => 2024.08.06
(the file size has not changed either)

Yeah, I see that now. I guess they had such little changes this time, they used old news to spruce up the changelog to make it look like more was done. Still waiting on the Peacock issue to be solved. Peacock is the only streamer I'm downloading with SF at the moment (or at least I'm trying to). If I wasn't getting Peacock for free from Comcast/Xfinity, I'd torrent its stuff.

          Hi,

The yt-dlp version 0806 is still used in 6195, but in before, the x86 version is used in StreamFab x64 version, some of supported websites have the download problem in x86 yt-dlp, and it's downloaded well if using the x64 version.

          Thanks!

          Wilson
