I just did a Unifab update to 2.0.0.4 and see it has removed the audio upmix AI feature. That was one of the selling points for movie audio and what I paid for. I have used your products for a very long time, the audio upmixer for movies was actually an upsale feature that I paid a premium for. Please advise.

Hi, Tazzy1
The 2.0.0.4 version has added the entry of the Upmixer module, which supports channel upmixing for both video and audio files. The Upmix feature was also retained in the enlarger module. Could you please provide more details about your question? What does “removed the audio upmix AI feature” refer to?

The module has been modified in 2.0.0.4 to only upmix 2 channel stereo to 5.1 or 7.1, it no longer upmixes eac3 5.1 to DTS 7.1. When I use the Enlarger for movies prior to the update I had been upmixing audio to DTS 7.1 in the process. When I import a movie from Streamfab to Unifab settings prior to 2.0.0.4 had the option under Codec and Channel of EAC3-5.1 or DTS-7.1. By restricting the feature to upmixing 2 channel only makes it useless to me. Even on your website it shows that it will upmix eac3-5.1 to DTS-7.1.

Thank you for your understanding of the issue. My reasoning is that many home theaters are 5.1 / 7.1 surround audio, mine is 7.1 surround. Fewer people are interested in music audio being 5.1 / 7.1 because it is not natural, music is originated from a stage perspective and to this day is recorded in stereo whereas movie sound is object oriented, rear, left, right, moving, etc. Hopefully you can effectively develop the audio upmixer to satisfactorily upmix to 7.1 since that and the HDR was the deal maker for me. My main point is that movies are and can be done in 7.1 mix, music audio is not.

Thanks. Do subsequent updates i.e., 2.0.0.5 roll up previous updates? I did share my thoughts on Dvdfabofficial on FB. I hope the developers revisit this issue in the future. Also is this capability still in development since Streamfab downloads are natively downloaded in EAC3 5.1 making the new version useless.
