I have been using DVDFab for as long as I can remember. It has always been a solid application that did everything I needed for video conversion and compression. You could hit the Converter tab, drop your file in, choose your profile, set your bitrate, and you were good to go. Every file added after that would inherit those settings, or you could apply them to all.
Fast forward to now, and we have UniFab, with both a converter and a compressor, each burdened by unbearably difficult interfaces that can even produce different results for the same file. The UI doesn’t save anything, and if you want to make simple changes like switching conversion to "fast" mode, you have to do it manually for every file. This becomes a major issue if you're dealing with 100+ files.
I understand UniFab has some great features, but could we please get the Converter tab from v12 ported into UniFab? The old UI was clean, reliable, and just worked!
One more request: dark mode. Why on earth does UniFab not offer any form of dark mode or theme? There’s nothing worse than opening the application and getting hit with a flashbang of white, leaving my corneas burned in with a white square in the middle while I manually change 106 files one by one.
If you have made it this far and you are still using the V12 instead of UniFab hit the like button to let the DVDFab team know I am not the only one who would prefer to use the now 2 year old product with no updates over the UniFab
